Siwa Oasis

Siwa is one of the most amazing points in the Western Desert of Egypt. The sunrises and sunsets in the desert can be seen in horizon view from a vantage away from the city and commotion. The land is desert nature, calm and peaceful and unique. Siwa is famous for palm trees, date palm trees and olive trees.

Siwa Oasis is home to the Dakrur Mountain. Here can be found a hot sand that is said to be a cure for Rheumatism. Other sites in Siwa Oasis and Bir Wahed include the tombs of the Mountain of the Dead, the Oracle Temple, the ruins of Amoun Temple, Cleopatra's Bath, the Fortress of Shali, the Cold Lake and the Fossil Rocks. This is a very quiet tour away from the modern life.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Siwa

Pickup from hotel.

Transfer by private car to Siwa Oasis.

Check-in to hotel.

Day 2 - Siwa

Tour Siwa Oasis.

Visit Oracle Temple and nearby area.

Visit Dakrur Mountain and nearby area.

Visit Cleopatra's Bath and nearby area.

Return to hotel.

Day 3 - Bir Wahad

Jeep tour of the desert of Bir Wahed.

Experience the natural hot springs.

Visit the Cold Lake and Fossil Rocks and nearby area.

Observe the desert sunset from an elevated point.

Return to hotel.

Day 4 - Shali

Visit the fortress of Shali and the old village of Shali.

Return by private car back to Cairo.

Tour price: $500 single traveler, $300 per person 2 or more people.

Tour includes local guide and transportation. Tour includes 3 nights stay at hotel in Siwa Oasis, plus breakfast. Tour includes Jeep tour and military permission for trip to Bir Wahed.

Tour excludes ticket prices of admission to sites, subject to change, call for current admission prices.
